Vertical blinds are the practical answer for the openings horizontal blinds handle badly — sliding glass doors, patio doors, and windows wider than they are tall. The vanes hang from a top track and rotate to aim light where you want it, then draw to one side to clear the doorway completely.
These use 3½" vinyl vanes. The wider vane means fewer of them across the opening, which reads calmer on a large window, and vinyl wipes clean rather than absorbing what a kitchen or a sunroom puts in the air.
The track
The headrail is a Decomatic heavy-duty track. Carriers are self-aligning and spaced equally across the full width, so the vanes hang evenly instead of bunching toward one end. Components are UV stabilized, and the track is designed to keep light gaps at the top and sides to a minimum. A slack releaser lets you swing the vanes clear when you need to wash the glass.
Options

Measuring
Every set is cut for one specific opening, and a vertical blind is less forgiving than most: too wide and it binds against the jamb, too narrow and you get a light gap down the side. Measuring your window
Measure the width first, then the height, in inches. Take the width at three points across the opening and use the smallest — window openings are rarely perfectly square. Rough numbers are fine for a quote; we confirm exact sizes with you before anything is cut.
Inside mount (IM) sits inside the window opening for a clean, recessed look. Measure the opening itself and send those numbers as they are — don’t subtract anything for clearance, we apply the factory deduction.
Outside mount (OM) fixes to the wall or trim outside the opening and covers more than the glass. It is the better choice where an opening is out of square, or too shallow to hold a blind. Tell us the area you want covered and we confirm the overlap with you.
